The Carrbridge Seniors were once again taking on the Rothes and Abernethy Seniors in the second round of the Tri-Club competition. On home turf the team came out on top with 314 points ahead of Rothes with 290 and third was Abernethy with 267. Overall the Carrbridge Seniors are just 1 point ahead going onto the final round.
After the Tri-Club match last week the seniors were back on home soil this week. Ken Malcolm just edged out Charlie Edward on count back both players finishing with 44 points and John Walker with 41 made up the top three. Ken also leads in the overall standings after 6 rounds. The tri-club match at Rothes will take place on Tuesday 1st of June, weather permitting. Arrive at 09.30 for 10.00 start. Good luck to the Carrbridge team of nine. With the seniors on away duty there will be no official seniors competition at Carrbridge this week.

With the cancellation of the tri-club match the seniors were making the most of playing on their home turf. In a high scoring round Brian Mackillop was the winner with 47 points followed by John Walker with 44 points and Charlie Macdonald And Bill Baird sharing third place on 43 points. Unfortunately, due to COVID travel restrictions, the seniors Tri Club match next Tuesday 18th May has been postponed until restrictions are lifted.
Next Tuesday 18th May sees the first round of the tri club challenge between Carrbridge, Rothes and Abernethy seniors. The first round is at Abernethy. The Carrbridge team of nine are asked to meet at Abernethy at 9.45 ready for a 10.30 shotgun start. There will be soup and sandwiches after the match.
After the rain washed out last week’s round, the senior’s were back in action this week. Andy Fraser was top of the pops with 47 points, followed by Bob Pattillo on 42 and Alan Boxx on 41. To see the seniors league table click SENIORS

Round 1.The Seniors are off! This year’s this year’s season long competition has begun. Early ground was made, with John Walker setting the pace and Ken Malcolm only two points behind in the chasing pack. Round 2. On a frosty morning 11 players took part on winter greens today played full handicap for a bit of fun. Winner by 1 point on 49 points was J Clark, close second was J Baldwin on 48. Round 3. Once again the Seniors returned for more action on the course. Jono Baldwin winning with a brilliant 46 to back up an even better 48 last week, second place went to Alan Boxx on 41 with Stewart Taylor third with 40 points. Round 4 . A reduced entry of 7 players took to the field and Ken Malcolm came out on top by a narrow margin from Alan Boxx with Stewart Taylor third.
