The penultimate round of the seniors competition saw a potentially decisive result for the overall competition. The winner on the day was John Walker with 43 points which stretched his overall lead to 6 points, second on the day was Alan Boxx with 42 which moves him into second overall but will this late surge be enough? Charlie Macdonald was third with 37 points. Monday 6th September and Carrbridge welcomed the seniors from Kingussie Golf Club for the annual matchplay competition. Each club put forward 12 players split into 6 teams of two for a shotgun start to battle it out for the Jack Smith trophy. As the teams came in for their tea and cakes the results were collated and Carrbridge seniors were the victors by 4 matches to 2. Well done boys! Another trophy for the seniors.

The Carrbridge Seniors were once again taking on the Rothes and Abernethy Seniors in the second round of the Tri-Club competition. On home turf the team came out on top with 314 points ahead of Rothes with 290 and third was Abernethy with 267. Overall the Carrbridge Seniors are just 1 point ahead going onto the final round.
After the Tri-Club match last week the seniors were back on home soil this week. Ken Malcolm just edged out Charlie Edward on count back both players finishing with 44 points and John Walker with 41 made up the top three. Ken also leads in the overall standings after 6 rounds.
