If you thought playing golf was difficult try getting your head around the format of the Yellow Ball Challenge Open. Seven teams of three did just that on Saturday 7th May as they competed against each other and the course. Using the Stableford format each player in the team had to play a yellow ball on six holes and the score achieved with the yellow ball would be multiplied by the sum of the other two players scores. With challengers from St Andrews, Elgin, Huntly, Dufftown and Nairn it was the team of Carrbridge Golf Club members, John Walker, Bill Baird and Ken Malcolm who took the top spot with 193 points.
